What the Eircom League wanted?

I don't know if this point has been made elsewhere but is Shels winning the title tonight the ideal situation for the Eircom league?

They have put off making a decision on the Jason McGuinness situation as long as possible, meetings have delayed and put back and nearly 3 months later there is no decision.

No matter what decision they made this time last month, somebody would have been very p*ssed off but if Shels win the league tonight, suddenly the decision doesn't really matter anymore and people will just accept whatever is decided.

Regardless of what happens tonight the decision is still very important for the next time this happens.
If Shels wrap it up tonight and the decision is no replay then essentially Ollie will still have been told to bugger off
