The Mayor of Athlone and members of Athlone Town Council will honour the Athlone & District Schoolboys League at a Civic reception to mark the occassion of the leagues 25th year.
A host of dignatories will attend the function which will be held in Athlone Castle on Friday next.
The ADSL Kennedy cup squad, who were narrowly beaten in the 2002 Kennedy cup semi-final by the Donegal league, will also be in attendance.
Congratulations and Happy birthday to the ADSL who have in the region of 3,000 members enjoying football in the midland town.
