Longford deducted 9 points- FAI

Longford Town have being deducted nine points for failing to properly register Avery John. The deduction means that Town drop from fourth in the table to ninth.
The eircom League board of control released the following statement:
"The decision of the Board of Control was that Avery John was not properly registered by Longford Town in accordance with League rule 16a (iv) and rule 17 (x) and the club was deducted a total of nine points together with a fine of 100 euro in accordance with the rules."
