Kildare County Seal first League victory of the Season

Well Spike if your are reading this you will be gald to hear we won our first league game of the season beating Sligo Rovers 1 - 0. The game wasn't a pretty game of football. The first half in fact wasn't too bad and about half way through the first half Ray Scully scuffed a shot that beat the keeper after he made a good incisive run through the centre. The second half was very scrappy, very few highlights, except that Cathal O'Connor nearly got another goal with a great strike from the edge of the box that had the keeper beaten all ends up only to see his shot come back off the upright. Sligo came at us in the last five minutes with their keeper even doing a Schmeichel for a Sligo corner right at the death.

The attendance wasn't bad - about 400!

Great feedback from one or two corners to do with the club. 5 new members over the week-end, more to come! Can't think right now but will keep you informed. Roll on Saturday and the visit of a Dundalk team in dissaray!!!:D
