Hmmmm... if Austin O'Neill had been here a bit longer I'd have made him my choice but over the course of the full season I would probably give my vote to *ponders long and hard* John Lestor. Gone of the boil somewhat of late but showed some real, real ability that's not common in this division. Brian Buckley deserves a mention in my opinion too and had he not left Anthony Wolfe's radical improvement is of note also.
lestor or buckley sounds fair to me.
Must be joking Lestor is so so lazy with no commitment to Limerick how can ye consider a guy who was suspended for a third of a season simply cause he cant keep his mouth shut .
As for Tommy a blind man could tell you he has been our most outstanding player by far
Brian is a fine player but is prone to sleep when things are not going well so thats why
Tommy has to get player of year he will fight to the end for us thank
God ! .
Think purcell should be in for a shout, was pretty solid at the back all season and was missed big time when he was out injured.
Barrett aswell has had a good season, what with playin in goals, midfield and up front. he tried his hardest in every postion he was asked to play.
Tommy Barrett gets it simply by virtue of having done well in midfield, up front and in goals :)
Honourable mentions to Johnny Lester, Chucka and in a surprise development Wolfie :eek: :ball:
Perhaps the right honurable long haired moderator of this forum could start a poll with the leading contenders. Perhaps also a biggest disappointment poll;
Player of the year nominations??
Tommy, Chucka, Wolfie, Paddy, Johnny Lester.
Disappointment of the season?
No promotion, no manager replacement, getting a hiding at home to Galway, no lease on the pitch.
Absolutely....
having seen much of limerick this season but any time ive been up tommy barrett has always stood out and been limericks best player but haven seen enough to say who should be player of the season........
