time to call time on georgie?
he has played around 8 gmaes and i think we can say he has veered between the good and the awful.
his display against bohs was rubbish, his performances gainst derry, bray, shels were excellant.
i think the guy could be lucky to hold his place?
any one have any thoughts on this?
George O'Callaghan tra la la la la
When hes good hes very good any when hes bad hes very bad!
No way should he be dropped. His biggest weakness is that he wants to do every little thing in a spectacular fashion, if they come off its fantastic but sometimes its a lot more productive to do the simple thing.

Problem is though Colm, a lot of the games we will play are going to be "battles" where unpretty, 'dig in for a result' type football is what's needed. I cannot see Georgie getting down and dirty !..;)
Last Friday was not the type of game for George. We need a Greg or Reynolds type player in those matches. Let George turn it on out the Cross, or when we go 2 or 3 up ! :)
Still, I seem to be in the minority who thinks we were not too bad last Friday. Not too bad, but not to great, but isn't it the sign of a good side when they can play badly and get a result?....

I agree. I thought we were poor. Except for John O'Flynn's oppurtunism we would have been easily beaten.
I said before, maybe we should think about using Mulligan from the start away from home (alongside JOF)?

Good point, Neil. If we get the upper hand, and are on top, then is the time for George to come on and do his stuff.
The other thing to remember is that while Crowe was off form, Bohs played very well last Friday, even S. Kenny said so, and the ref was a f*cking disgrace, but we still came within 2 minutes of all 3 points.
