Lads as the season has just started wondering what is the best eleven in the league? tis very hard to call i must say!!!
Also who is the most under-rated (imo definitely donal duggan)?
Who is the most over rated (definitely chalky like)?

I woundn't think is his over rated..
I have played with him a number of times and he has been outstanding.
He is strong and a good leader,Never stops encouraging, and a center half that scores goals aswell..Always give 100%...Maybe when a nippy center forward runs at him it can cause him a few problems but apart from that he's great IMO.:ball:
Heres a few definite starters
Chalky Walsh
Paul Breen
Paul Scully
Ian Barnes
Aaron Moroney
Anyone care to add to the list???
Tony Scully has as much natural talent as anyone in the league. He would be in my TSDL 11 every time. I would only pick Ian Barnes if he was on the wing. Clonmel's persistence with playing him in the middle makes no sense to me but what would I know.
is this the same villa man that said peake will win the league? after yesterday??? come on and to say and i qoute "Who is the most over rated (definitely chalky like) " there are saner people locked up in st lukes...these 2 examples highlight your limited knowledge of footie,.. i won't even try to defend Chalky as i am sure knowledgeable footie fans already have done in this thread... HELLO captain of Ireland juniors/amateurs........... my god it makes me laugh sometimes what people can come out with... did he clean you out on the pitch or something...CTFC im sure you ****ed yourself laughing with theses qoutes as you come across as a footie fan
Heres a few who would be well worth their place on the Oscar Traynor Panel if not the team
Richie Ryan (Town)
Foggy (Peake)
Chris Higgins (St. Mikes)
Raymie O Brien (St. Mikes)
Richie Ryan (St. Mikes)
Adrian Cleere (Ballingarry)
other players for oscar traynor would be colin bargary now of saints, james scott and ken ryan borris ted o connor of peake. as well as all the other usual players from the big 2.
I would put in the follwoing players........
Tony Scully
Davy Ryan
Ken Ryan
Paul Tobin
Chawkey Walsh
Paul Ryan
Emmet Ryan ( if he lost 3 stone )
Aaron Moroney
Stephen O'Flynn ( he is a true professional and a great servant to the beautiful game )
Barry O'Neill
Pa Quinn
Can you guess which ones are **** takes and which are real???
What about Ray McMahon with St.Michaels.
He's handy enough.
Only seen Ray Mac once r twice but you couldnt compare him to the likes of the Scullys. Not a bad player though.
I had only seen Ray McMahon in a couple of big cup games and Inter league games and didn't think much of his performances but in the second half of the Saints /Bridge game he ran the show, not the best player in the league on the ball but puts himself about really well, great engine!. Davy Ryan was also a class act. Great feet.
Find it hard to believe that you havent got Ted O Connor on that list.while he has been quiet over the last couple of seasons, he is definitely onre of the most natuerly talented players in the league. and dont forget.....was being played out of position for the ladt three seasons
tsdl best 11
1. kevin o sullivan
2. paul tobin
3. chriss higgins
4. paul breen
5. kevin walsh
6 paul scully
7 john shanahan
8. ian barnes
9. aaron moroney
10. ted o connor
11. ken ryan
12. tony scully
13.james scott
14. donal duggan
15. davy ryan
16. adrian cleere
i think ted o connor is as good center back or center mid as anyone in the league plus i heard he wanted to play center back. so he was hardly out of position.
he,s probably the best natural goalscorer though however i heard he didin,t want to play oscar traynor.
surprised paraic fogarty not in tht team
what about the bold redser o grady ?
i hear he took the new international partnership of breen and walsh to the cleaners in the michaels /villa match last sunday
Was at the game, and yes he played very well and didn't seem out of place amongst breen and walsh, for a man who I didn't think ever played soccer. He ruffled their feathers a bit. But lets not get carrried away with an oscar traynor team just yet. Obvioulsy the hurling is over for the time being, but will we see him as soon as it starts again ! hardly !!!
