RTE Radio One has announced details of a stunning weekend of coverage, with four successive nights of Sportsnight programmes to chart the progress of Ireland�s top sides in both Uefa Cup and FAI Carlsberg Cup action. Kicking things off on Thursday night is a Uefa Cup special, with commentary from both Dalymount Park and the Brandywell.

In Dublin, Drogheda United will attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit against IK Start of Norway, while Derry City entertain Gretna before a 2900 sell-out crowd, the vast majority of whom will be eager to witness the Candystripes� passage to the first round proper � it shouldn�t be too difficult, as they hold a 5-1 lead from the first leg in Motherwell a fortnight ago.

Checked the schedule and it look slike they're not showing it.

Can't believe they'd only show one leg of a tie.

Yes. RTE Europe (SKY channel 0143) = RTE radio MW

Yes. According to A Face's article above, RTE Radio MW/LW are broadcasting the euro games tonight which (for those with rubbish MW reception) can also be listened to on Sky Channel 0143.

I think its fair to say that RTE push boat out with domestic coverage when there is no decent television coverage. They are a pathetic bundling mess.
