International matches in Terryland

Manchester United midfielder Darron
Gibson has received his first call-up
to the Irish under-21 squad for the
UEFA Championship qualifying game away
to Greece on August 16.
Don Givens' side will play Greece at
the Panionios FC Stadium in Nea Smyrni
before hosting Belgium at Terryland
Park, Galway on, September 1.
The top team in the three-nation group
will advance to a play-off in October
where they will contest for a place in
next year's finals.
Kevin Deery has been rewarded for his
consistent displays with Derry City
with a call-up to the squad.
Ireland Under-19 manager Sean McCaffrey
has named a squad of 18 players for the
upcoming double-friendly against
Ukraine at Terryland Park, Galway on
August 15 & 17.
The matches will form part of the
squad's preparations for the first
phase of the UEFA Under-19 qualifying
series, scheduled for Macedonia from
the October 6-11.
'We will have two difficult games
against the Ukraine and that is what we
need as build-up for the qualifiers in
October, ' McCaffrey admitted.
