best of luck to big mick , although if i was chairman at wolves i would only keep him on until he had achieved promotion and no longer!!
In fairness to Big Mick, he never got the financial backing at Sunderland to keep them in the top division. Looking at the three teams promoted this year to the Premier division, hardly any new signings by any of them. Brave or foolhardy, we'll see.
cant see wolves splashing out if mick gets them up either...
What odds Colin Healy turns up for a trial there in the next few days??
Good luck to him, except when they're playing the Owls. He must be the only manager with a voice that can easily be heard over the noise of the crowd.

True, but it was Mick who brough him in when he was released by CelticQuote:

Should the title not be "Mick MCCarthy back in the bacon slicer at Wolves"? :D
Sounds a bit like a no win situation though for mick.if theyre not promoted ,he's a failure and with the extra bit of cash after being invested theyll expect no less.good luck to him but i reckon he wont cut it in the big time
Somebody has hired Mick McCarthy again?.
Should be in World Football surely.
It's not quite up there with classics like "it's my arse in the bacon slicer" but here's a good Mick quote already:
``But at the moment we've only got 16 first-team players and my initials stand for Mick McCarthy, not Merlin the Magician.''
Some would argue that MM stands for both, but that's another issue...
May god help Wolves. cause sure as hell McCarthy Wont !
I think Mc Carthy may get them promoted but he is a bit lacking at the top end of the game. But he will do a good job there in my view. He is a steady Championship manager and his record shows that.
Although I have no interest in any foreign club best of luck to the big man.
KOH
I think Stuttgart the point he was making was that despite the fact he is MM he is not Merlin the Magician and only 16 first team players is at least 10 players shy of what is needed to last a season with 46 League games etc.Quote:
