Valencia have made it clear that they want to sell Aimar although not at any price. Liverpool are mentioned immediately whenever a Valencia player is on the move (Pellegrino, Sissoko, Fabio Aurelio) and some even claim Benitez is after Villa. To be honest I can't see it happening, Benitez wasn't that big a fan of Aimar in Valencia and I don't think he'd be interested in taking him to England.
Agreed, and with Cisse's injury depriving Benitez of up to £8m in transfer funds, you can forget about Aimar (and maybe Kuyt) joining this summer. Liverpool are now probably looking at the cheaper alternatives unless they are guaranteed to sell Cisse in January. So you're looking at Pennant for the RM, Bellamy/Bent up front etc. Lets hope they find extra funds from somewhere, otherwise it's going to seriously mess things up.
