Tunisia and Saudi arabia both dont exactly cover themselves in glory when they get to the world cup but Ukraine arent the best side either and will be nervous as debutants. If there are any worries about Shevchenko's fitness then this will only make this worse still. It could be a little opportunity for Tunisia or the Saudis. Spain with a notorious bad record couldnt have got a better draw - they surely cant mess this one up - can they?
Spain should win the group without much trouble. Ukraine do have Shevchenko but will need more than him to go far. Tunisia and Saudi Arabia will make little impression.

Shevchenko would no doubt have scored after 10 minutes if the linesman had a clue what he was doing. That would have been 1-0 to Ukraine and nobody knows how the match would have panned out. Instead Spain scored from 2 set pieces before half time and immediately after the 2nd half the ref stupidly gives a peno and sends a Ukraine defender off.Quote:

What was that peno about? Vashchuck seemed to lightly tug his shorts outside the box and he fell over about 5 seconds later. Dymth is right, there were a few dodgy offside calls against Ukraine at the start.

Apparently King Juan Carlos rang the team hotel after their 4-0 thrashing of Ukraine and said "What the fcuk do you think you are doing, cabrones".
So they have reverted to type.
