GUFC v "De Athlone"

Can't wait for this one....really am excited about it.Love playing Athlone in Mels and with it been a cup game and a couple of hundred fans cheering on the Tribal Army,it's going to be good.
It will be a tough enough game,Athlone are no push overs and we struggled against them on Good Friday.Bit of extra spice added to the game with lavine now playing for them but im not really worried about him tbh.I hope Billy lets him know he's a in a game.....Clada style!:D
No doubt there will be an excellent atmosphere and thanks to Barry we've acquired another drum so there'll be plenty of noise and colour,as usual;) ,from the Galway contingent.
Come on UTD!!!!

my predicition is that this match may also be cancelled. Was watching the weather forecast for the week and the rain isnt going to stop long enough for enough drainage to happen with days like today promise to continue for the entire week. Can any athlone fan find out what condition the pitch is at the moment?:confused: :(

Better day today,so hopefully that continues.We shouldn't have to be worrying about a game been called off due to inclement weather 1 week before June!!:eek:

only thing is: we live in ireland, sure games could be called off due to weather conditions in july!
