well done gilesy - best pundit ever too
1st tv football expert ever to expolde the myth about "tactics"/"he likes "attacking" football/ the "diamond formation" and the "half time team talk"
calls it exactly as it is
good players take up good positions in relation to the position of the ball and other team mates/opposition......bad players don't
and theres no such thing as tactics or turning it around at ht
prob agree with that!
I'd say radebe gave big jack and norman hunter a run for their money same for kells
Wouldn't argue with that Leeds all time XI. 9 From the Revie Era , John Charles and Nigel Martyn ( might have plumped for David Harvey) pretty representative.
Surprised Gordon McQueen wasn't nominated though... has he never been forgiven for moving to ManUre?
Gile's is their 11th best player of all time apparently... (Ian Harte is 46th!!!)
Surely Gilesy is Leeds' best ever player. Charles had long spells at Juve. Scraping the barrell though with Lee Chapman and Dominic Matteo. Even Viduka FFS.Quote:

Nice to see UCD well represented too!
wee Billy Bremner!Quote:

No sense at all.Quote:

I remember that great Leeds team of the 1970s and from a skill point of view Giles and Lorimer stood out from the rest. I am still not sure I have seen a better passer of a ball than Giles. As for his punditry, he can get very repetitive but that comes with old age, that comes with old age, that comes with....
One must be Jack Charlton - don't see him elsewhere in the photo...?:pQuote:
