new start for ladies football in Galway

The agm of the Ladies football scene was held in Galway last night,
the old committee all resigned citing lack of co-operation and reasons that 3 of them were left to do all the work unfairly.
for a tense few minutes it looked like a major crises, but after a bit of coaxing some brave people stepped up and offered to go on the new committee.
3 ladies took the chair,pro,and sec roles and one man offered to go on the exec and help them. A number of other volunteers joined them to ensure tey wouldnt be isolated and now the plan is to seek the views of stakeholders in the womens game over the next 2 weeks, hold an open meeting and 2 weeks later hold an egm to address issues and co op amendments and rule changes so the committee can begin to run the league properly.

In the short term you will begin to see a marked improvement in how the womens game communicates with the Galway public

Good luck and best wishes for the future, perhaps the same will happen with the Limerick Ladies League. It seems there are some very unhappy campers involved here.
