Unfortunately, despite regular updates from Finn Park, the game was officially
postponed around 5.30 just as the Cootes rolled into town.

A big thanks to all those who travelled and we are working towards making a
deal for the re scheduled game to compensate those who made the long
journey. The replay is provisionally fixed for Easter Monday so stay tuned for
updates.

Also, thanks to the Harps lads who kept us informed with regular updates on
the condition of the pitch. The game only looked in doubt around 4.30pm

Next away game for Athlone is a trip South to St Colmans Park on Saturday
25th March when Athlone Town face Cobh Ramblers. If there is sufficient
interest, Mad As Cootes will run a bus and again anyone interested in

After that its time to turn Good Friday into a Great Friday as the Cootes go
west to Terryland Park to take on Galway. We will definitely be running a bus
