Playing music when a goal is scored
Needless to say as one from the old school, I find this trend unnecessary and irritating. Surely fans should be on such a high after a goal is scored that music to also celebrate is not required. The spontaneity of the celebration is immediately drowned out by the music like some Nazis stage managed party congress. It's the way of the world I know - people cannot entertain themselves. Even the post goal celebrations now have to be orchestrated.
And while I am at it - does the patronising PA announcer at LAnsdowne Rd get under anyone else's skin? "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, you were all so well behaved. Aren't you wonderful". I'll never forget him at the end of the Swiss game giving us the answer to some pathetic quiz question as we were all in the depths of despair - I could almost have climbed into his commentary position and rammed his microphone up his posterior.
