Happy days ahead (hopefully)
Also according to todays Mirror, Dolan is almost certain to be on board by the weekend.:)
Is this definite ?? What are the club saying ??
Not untill i see it signed or i get a deff yes it is signed from someone in the club will i trust the possible future honourary life president of the club. Yes dolan will be on board should this lease be resolved. fingers crossed. But comming so soon after his radio show last night, this reeks of John O'Shaughnessy leaking a "possible" outcome to the national media. If im wrong so be it but i dont trst it.
Congratulations Limerick.
Exciting times ahead for all of Limerick.
Heres hoping for another Munster derby in the coming seasons to look forward to.:ball:
Congrats lads.
Out of curiosity, is the grounds next to the train staion one of yer old grounds?
could you tell me what are the plans for the grants???(new stand/terrecing/turnyiles)???
Great News about the Lease :D . At least now we can draw down the grants etc.Well done DD and to All involved in sorting this mess out.
However not so sure about Dolan..poor Track record and tends to leaves a trial of destruction after him. And as for the honourary life president of the club...Oh My God !
Congrats to Limerick FC. Good to see this being sorted out.
Ya, Jackman Park, nicknamed De Jacks and never was such an unimaginative nickname more apt :pQuote:

Well get that new stand in and we're probably the fifth most marketable club in Ireland guarenteeing us a place in next season's eircom super soccerball masters inter-galactic elite franchise league :)
Great news about the lease.
What exactly will the grant money be used for?
Going to follow other clubs leads and use it on players and wages mostly :pQuote:

I presume no planning permission was applied for as the lease wasn't sorted. If not its unlikely any work will be done this season.Quote:

Planning pemiss depends on the actual deeds of the grounds, some sports grounds don't need permis to upgrade the sports facilities(pitch, lights, dressingrooms, etc)...Just a quick question about the length of the lease. 21yrs i hear?? having been involved in the grants process before, is not the min lease for pulling down grants 25years... i hope i am wrong and please correct me if so.. i hope that lim put in some decent dressing rooms and spectator comforts
Just looked up dept of sport web site.. lease has to be for 22years
Lads has it actually been signed yet? I only ask cause todays mirror again makes reference to the Dolan situation saying that he is likely to come on board now that the Priest has given his VERBAL agreement to a 21-year lease on the ground. Its that word verbal that troubles me, so can anyone confirm that pen has been put to paper
From what I hear the Agreement is "to agree to sign the lease" only. We are not out of the woods yet. Also 21 years seems too short a time frame for me. What do ye think?
Unless it is a 21 year extension to the existing lease. That's 5 including last year isn't it (i.e. 4 left to run). It seems ludicrous to sign a 21 year lease if we need it to be 22 to draw down money. I have a bit of faith that one the business men on the committee would spot that one. I have no faith though that the thing will be signed.:ball:
