Wow - I'm impressed ! I thought FIFA would bottle it, but they've thrown the book at them, and rightly so it was a disgrace. Wonder where they will play their matches, 500 miles from the Turkish border... could be Italy. There is always a chance of an appeal.
Just a shame we didn't draw them...! They're in with Greece and Norway, aren't they? That group gets more and more interesting!
How about behind closed doors and with Danish cartoons printed on their jerseys?

yea about time .... although i can't help thinking that if these incidents happened against a team that wasn't say switzerland - or another country with good friends in fifa/uefa's seats of power - they'd get a slap across the wrist

Bit paranoid, to be honest. At least one of the Swiss players got a six-match competitive ban, which is unprecedented, I think. Turkey had a prior record as well, Switzerland didn't.Quote:
