Damien Richardson has confirmed he has had a bid for Shelbourne's Pat Scully rejected. The Hoops boss is a big admirer of the former Shels captain and hoped that he would add some much-needed steel to the Rovers rearguard. However, Shelbourne have rejected what Richardson described as a substantial bid. Scully had already requested a transfer last season amid rumours of dressing room discontent.
