Saw this mentioned on soem TV show the other day.

Anyone know why Bill is short for William, or Dick short for Richard?

Not sure about William, but the other one may have something to do with castration.:D

A bit off topic, but talking about names, it was on the ray darcy show this morning more parents have started calling their kids 'cosmo' :D

He mentioend that there was a Cosmo working in a chipper in Dundalk .... is that you ?? :confused: :p
