Why do they show 100-30 commonly and not 10-3? I am confused to this practice. Can someone help me?

Apperently its down to old school race talk. 100/30 is known as a Berlington Bertie, so I guess it would not work as 10/3 :) Derived from French originally I am told.
well done for answering your own question.
yea i heard some bookie on the radio a day or 2 ago and he said such and such a thing was a "100/30 so its a little over 10/3."i don't exactly understand it.
100/30 is the same as 10/3. Silly bookie. Might like to put a bet on with him. :)
The way I understand it, Burlington Bertie is the tic tac slang for 100/30 and this is simply used as a way to express 10/3
It doesn't change the value of the return.
Yup that is the conclusion I came to too ;)
Did my head in for a while.
I usually avoid the horses so I've no need to worry about tic tac. ;)Quote:

Getting your bird to dress up like Jessica Kürten, doesn't really qualify as an "interest" in horses! :DQuote:
