Sorry Jockser, thought your topic was a Pool fan just trying to hammer the point home! Try www.rsssf.com for such footballing records.
Barry Ryan kept 8 clean sheets in a row for UCD in 2002/03. He missed a game in between, but I think that's as good as we get.
Dino Zoff held the record of over 1,000 minutes at international level, didn't he? That'd be 11 games...before conceding a goal to Haiti I think!!!
Chris Woods with Rangers held the British record last I heard?
well im too lazy to do that lad, thats why i just asked if people new of any records of the top of their heads :). So could maybe the title of this thread be changed then ?Quote:

Read in the paper today that the world record is 1200 mins or so. I reckon a clean sheet against Sao Paulo will give them the world record.
990 minutes and counting for Pepe..isn't it?
the next 4 games are vs sao paulo, newcastle, everton:rolleyes: ,west brom so if he keeps clean sheets in them we'll have another record
Not sure how many but its definatly over the 1000 mark. 1000 minutes was passed around the 74th minute of the game yesterdayQuote:

Rockmount only left in 9 goals in 22 league game last season....
but who has the longest clean sheet record and for how long is it?
According to the Guinness Book of Records:
Longest Clean Sheet In Soccer
The longest any goalkeeper has succeeded in preventing goals being scored past him in top-class soccer competition is 1,275 min, a record held, as of April 1, 1991, by Abel Resino of Atlético Madrid, Spain.
Dino Zoff went over 12 games for Italy.
edit: Just googled, it was 1143mins.
thanks :)Quote:
