Its a ridiculous sacking .. had the players backing and has not been given a proper chance. Think its a bit of a power trip by the chairman, but then again he pumps the money into the club.Quote:

For all their faults, I don't think (hope!) the FAI would head hunt him....there are better options on the potentials list....
But for any Prem manager that gets the boot now the possibility is there...
First managerial loss of the season late into November, must be a while since that happened.
I don't think Perrin would be approached by the FAI, although, as you say any Premiership manager given the boot between now and the start of the Euro 2008 qualifiers is going to be linked with the job
I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that the FAI is employing a publicity / PR firm. Every now & then a bad candidate gets his namn in lights for a while.
Then when a half decent candidate is appointed we all go "phew, at least it's not Venables / Reid / Perrin ...".
Then again, the day the FAI ever does anything well in the PR arena will be a very strange day.
Reginald Iolanthe Perrin perhaps?
LOL, unfortunately he is dead now though stuts.
what a show. juggernaut jack-knifed at gerralds cross. ;)
Leonard Rossiter as new manager! Great. Super.
There was an article about that on the BBC website a while back - something like a ten-year record for non-sackings.Quote:

They didn't get where they are today by employing a PR firm....Quote:

I'm afraid he didnt have the players backing, Stefanovic said today after he was sacked there were 6 or 7 players that didnt want him there. He was one of themQuote:
