I guess it depends on the attitude to the last two games. If we play out time we could end up 7th. I'm not sure it really matters where we finish but in terms of optics it would be better to get 4th to show good improvement.Quote:

We have the worst goal difference of the 4 (only Athlone and Mons conceded more goals than us) so I reckon we will be 6th or 7th.
That said, I think we have been a lot more competitive this season and the ground work is done if the team stays together for next year. :ball:
Seventh :o
AFAIK there was a mix up with Darko's international clearencne but he's under contract for two years so should see him next season and by all accounts he's an excellent wide player  :)
Isn't the difference between 4th and 7th about €6,000 in prize money? Or to put it another way maybe four weeks wages or so? We shouldn't adopt a lazy attitude to the last couple of games. I can't see the likes of Danny Drew and Ciaran Judge being happy with that anyway.
I wasn't aware of that. In that case then lobbing in a grand of that for a players night out should be an incentive in the last two games. :ball:Quote:

its a vast improvment on 23/24 points last season and finishing last.
I had agreed with you before about using u-21s but after SLKs info I don't. €6,000 isn't to be sniffed. We should try and secure it. Use the u-21s if they increase the chance of winning - but not just to give them games. :ball:Quote:

Yeah it's not the being relegated I was worried about this year, it was the thought of THAT division. I'm going to **** off a lot of people here, but the thought of Athlone, Monaghan, Limerick turns my stomach.

Controversial..he'll be getting a nice Limerick welcome next season.
limerick are improving every year very unlucky dis year with conceading goals in the last few minutes in matchs they need a bit of experiance in midfield next year to help the young players if they did get up dis year would have found it very hard in the premier
Totally agree its a vast improvement on last season as is our goals conceaded this year to last year.. 55 last year, to this years 47 so far  Theres also a big differance in this years squad to lat years, this years was selected last years was slapped together in ten mins to limp to the end of the season. Said it before ill say it again, if people want to compare our ambition to LCD teams like last years fair enough be unambitious = 13 seasons in Division one and playing long ball. Get the ball down and pass it = entertainment, goals, less goals conceaded, more goals, hope and 'chance' to get out of this division as happened in season 2003.And remember this is the worst first division in since its inception!Quote:
