Wexford Football League v DDSL (Youth Inter-League)

Result from this evening: Wexford 1, DDSL 4. Closer game than the final scoreline suggests and Wexford, in fact, looked the better side for much of the first half-hour. But once the DDSL got their equaliser around the half-hour mark, the tide shifted and it was 3-1 to the DDSL at half-time. A blocked goalkeeper clearance gave the DDSL their fourth goal early on in the second half and Wexford never managed to close the gap on the scoreboard thereafter. Best for Wexford was no. 17 (Danny) who was the catalyst for any forward momentum created by Wexford and he also scored Wexford's goal. Best player on the pitch was DDSL's no. 11 (Johnny) who probably was the difference between the two sides and was virtually unplayable on whatever wing he worked on.
