Saints defender laments “disgraceful” decisions
St Patrick’s Athletic defender John Frost has spoken out about the raft of referees’ decisions which have gone against the Inchicore side in recent weeks.
Pats were downed by a controversial late goal from former player Aidan O’Keeffe at Richmond Park as Bohemians stole the points.
However, Saints were adamant that the striker had handled the ball – and Frost feels that his side is getting a raw deal.
He told the Irish Daily Mirror: “It’s the first time I’ve ever really complained about it, but the standard of refereeing in this league is a disgrace. It’s a real kick in the teeth. The last few weeks we’ve been doing ok but refereeing decisions are killing us now.”
“Up in Longford, a penalty was given for a handball which was never a penalty. Then in Bray we had a player sent off for being the last man when there were two men behind him.
"And then on Friday we had a handball for the goal – the chap even admitted it after the game – I don’t know how the lineslady didn’t see it.
It’s the same thing in week in, week out. It’s a disgrace that’s three league games in a row where the referee has done us.”
It was Rohna FFS ! what else does he expect ?
