YOUNG City striker Karl Bermingham is determined to win a new contract at Manchester City.
The Ireland Under-21 international is in the last year of his deal with the Blues, and must prove to boss Stuart Pearce he has the potential to succeed.
He is currently on loan at Burnley, but played in City's Thailand tour and scored his first senior goal against Sheffield Wednesday in pre-season.
He said: "If I can play regularly for the reserves and - please God - score regularly, that would be a great achievement. I'm in the last year of my contract so my biggest aim is to win a new deal and everything after that is a bonus, really."
Bermingham added in City's official magazine: "Burnley will be a great experience for me and something I couldn't turn down. Lee Croft went away and returned with a spring in his step and if that happened to me, I'd be delighted.
"I just want to impress the new manager and win a new contract and if going out on loan helps me achieve that, then I'm all for it."
