Wexford Football League v Kildare (Oscar Traynor)

Result from this evening: Wexford 4, Kildare 0. Wexford added to their 3-2 win against Kilkenny with a comfortable win against Kildare in Ferrycarrig tonight. Wexford were three goals ahead at halftime with all goals being similar - Wexford forwards getting the ball in space inside the Kildare area and then either knocking it past the away keeper or going around him. Only decent chance for Kildare in the first half was when their forward won a 50-50 against a Wexford defender but the referee gave a soft free out as the attacker had a chance of chipping Jason McGuire in the Wexford goal. Wexford continued to dominate the second half and only some wayward finishing and one disallowed goal stopped them from going further ahead. Wexford got a late fourth goal right at the end when the Kildare replacement keeper may have been impeded at a Wexford corner but it didn't reflect the result.
