If there was any doubt before if St Anne's end was good to replace the current shed .... the other night confirmed that it will probably be better .... The good times are only about to start !!!

It was great that one night granted, can you imagine it being that good, when the likes of longford come down for a league cup replay or something to that effect, will be v hard to get the crowd going, and also the sound just floats away into the night sky
i went to the match myself and the buzz around the saint anns end was unreal i went home and it look ten times better so i am wondering when the shed gets knocked is that were we will all go

It would be excellent if there was a roof on this end though and would actually generate MORE noise than the Shed does now.
A wet windy night might dampen people's spirits and deter a section of the die-softs, not to mention muffle the voice of the drum. So I agree, a cover for St. Anne's end is a priority.Quote:

good noise thursday but when i left the shed after the shels game my ears were ringing.thats what a roof will add to the st Annes end anyway.
st annes end is a horrible place to watch a football match. For starters, its nowhere near steep enough, so the view isn't half as good as in the Shed. There's no roof, so wait til the rain hits and the crowds run for cover, not to mention the impact on noise levels. The gaps between the rows of seats are too small, I nearly tore the back of my legs apart trying to stay standing up with the drum. NOT A FAN!
