Lost the second game 3-1, despite taking the lead in the first half. With the final game against Poland, who top the group with six points, we can only finish bottom of the group, so are relegated to League B in the second round, and will need to top the group we are drawn in to play in League A in next year's competition
First game of Round 2 was earlier today against Albania, with Ireland winning 7-1
Claims from Israel today that the Ireland team turned away while the Israeli anthem was being played.

The Israeli anthem is played at 2:48, and the Ireland team does not turn around until the Irish anthem is played at 4:18, to face the tricolour

And in fairness while we are all horrified by Israel s conduct in Gaza and the west bank. We have to give credit where it's due. The Israeli manager has defended us on this one
"Israel U-17 head coach Michal Ravitz also said Ireland turned to face their flag before the game, adding “during our anthem they stood and during their anthem they turned to face their flag which was on the other side of the field, as happens in every game"
