Rafa: Reina Can Be Our Schmeichel
Rafael Benitez says he is very happy with his new goalkeeper Pepe Reina and feels he can be as influential to Liverpool as Peter Schmeichel was for Manchester United and Denmark.
Benitez said Reina is always talking to his defenders and is enjoying the physical side of the Premiership.
Benitez said: "Reina has a lot of confidence. He is always talking, controlling the defenders. They feel already that they have a very good keeper behind them. It will be the same with Reina as it was with Schmeichel.
"Now he talks a lot but he doesn't know a lot of English words but he's improving.
"The new situation for him is going to be the physical side of the game here. But Reina likes the physical side. He has no problems. He's strong."
