A superb strike from Rebecca Devereux put Ireland in front in the first half and they never looked like surrendering that lead as they played with confidence throughout.
This was another encouraging display by James Scott's team - after beating the same opponent by the same scoreline three days before - and it sets them up well for their UEFA Women's Under-17 European Championship qualifiers.
The Girls in Green could have gone ahead as early as the fourth minute when a fine pass from Katie Lawlee picked out captain Jodie Loughrey, whose thumping header whizzed just wide of the post.
Loughrey was again denied minutes later after good work by Devereux, but Ireland got their reward for good work on 33 minutes when Shelbourne ace Devereux wasted little time when the ball dropped to her on the edge of the penalty area as she smashed a shot into the top corner of the opposition's net.
Peamount United's Freya Healy went close with two efforts as Ireland finished the first half in control. It was more of the same after the interval, albeit without many clear-cut chances created.
Switzerland drew level on 63 minutes when captain*Sydney Schertenleib managed to find a way past goalkeeper Niamh Richardson with a long-range free-kick that zipped into the back of the net.
Substitute Heidi Mackin unleashed a shot from distance late on in an effort to put her team ahead but it sailed over the crossbar and that was the last notable shot of the game.
Overall, Ireland will be pleased with this performance as they work towards their upcoming qualifying games.
