Played right full-back in his earlier days, then central midfield and was influential enough the season we were promoted. Played a lot at right midfield, mainly from the bench over last couple of seasons, but there was always a question of whether or not he deserved his place. Most from Waterford believe that him being a player with the club was the reason why McGeough and his predecessor Paul Power ultimately didn't survive. He was on a reportedly lucrative 3 year full-time contract when there was hardly a full-time player at the club and was finally paid off in February with this season left to run on the contract. He's still only about 25.
