Congrats to Sam Bennett Irelands first winner of Green jersey in TDF in 31 years!

Guys bear with me on this. I came across this gem of an article on the Irish Times website about Sam!
Sams dad is Micheal Bennett who played a lot of the 1980s with Waterford Utd and was part of the side that lost the FAI Cup final in 1986.

I didnt know who Sams dad was until I read this article!

Congrats to Sam Bennett the first Irish green jersey of the Tour De France overall winner since his fellow Carrick On Suir compatriot Sean Kelly won the last of his four in 1989.
