Aside from game i didn't see i think most games been entertaining enough. Any thought from neutral observers?
I think games are providing better quality for tv. Maybe players are getting used to live tv.

Strongly resembled a Champions League match. Superb defensive performances from both teams, game settled by a terrific goal. Quality of passing slightly disappointing at times. 8/10Quote:

Had the most interesting experience of flicking over from the Setanta Cup game last night to RTE 2, where they were showing the FAI Cup final from last season, what are they at, competing directly with the setanta cup. idiots, first its no interest in the league or irish soccer at all, now they try and compete with the only station to show a real interest.
It was interesting to see four irish clubs (Shels, Cork, Waterford & Longford) on telly at the same time.
Pulled the same stunt last week by screening the Pat 4-3 Bohs cup semi replay from 2003 in competition with a Setanta Cup game.Quote:

I think in previous years the tv review was dependent on only few games so 1 bad one let the average quality down. This year a lot more on tv so 1 or 2 poor games isn't noticed so much.
Its possible that shels v city games have been better because of small setanta cup group where draw no sue to anyone as opposed to longer term view in league games.
Just a thought, now I may be wrong, will those repeated games be counted as RTEs "as live" games? If I remember correctly, which I probably don't, the rules didnt specify they had to be from this year (the "as live) ones anyways.
Setanta are the ones with the 'as live' games, all of RTEs ones have to be shown live.
Wouldn't put anything past those tossers, but I doubt it. The games were broadcast as part of the Sports File series, and were not shown "as live" (in their entirety.)Quote:

I'd say either Setanta paid less for as-live games (no drop in attendance for home club) or they want the option of choosing live or as-live.Quote:
