BUT -this guy has nearly two years of active service and we know relatively little about what he or his unit got up to in that time.
But it was no boy scout trip -no FCA-esque larking about either. He wore that grey uniform with the little silver eagle dangling a swastika on his chest. FACT.
I heard on BBC this morning that a lot of people in his home town were hung for not joining the army. Also heard a brutal "joke" on the Beeb that Bob Geldof could have been pope 'cos he was a Ratsinger! Ouch! Sorry for inflicting it on you. ;)
