Republic of Ireland under-21 international striker Kevin Doyle insists he is not looking to leave Cork City.
Doyle’s good form for the Leesiders since joining St Patrick’s Athletic two years ago, and has transferred his ability to the international scene.
With under-21 strike partner Daryl Murphy targeted for a summer move to Ipswich Town, speculation had swung to the Cork star’s future.
But Wexford lad Doyle is happy to stay at Turners Cross for the remaining two years of his contract – and possibly beyond.
He said: “I’m not looking to leave. I’ve had two good years here and I’m very happy here. I’ve got two years to go on my contract and unless someone makes a bid that Cork accept, I’m not going anywhere. I was disappointed when Pat [Dolan] was sacked as were a lot of others but things happen like that and we’ve got to move on.”
