I look after the halftime entertainment games for Dublin City of the Eircom League. I have no problem finding teams to help, but it usually takes me a ton of phones calls to get a team. So maybe this forum will help me build up a list of teams who would like to take part.
The games will last about 10/12 minutes and the kids love it! they get to walk out of the Tolka Park tunnel under floodlights, and play in front of the crowd on the main pitch. They also get to see an Eircom game for free.
I usually get teams from my own club(St Pauls Artane FC) to play these games and the odd time I will get opposition.
What I would like would be to get a team from the area that Dublin City are playing, eg Lets say it's Dundalk then a team from Dundalk, you get the idea.
For example, for the Dublin City vs Sligo Rovers game this Thursday, St Pauls U8A are playing Trinity S&L U8A.
But teams from Dublin would be just as good.
I think this is a great oppertunity for the kids as the seem to love it.

One more thing, if you have a jeresy of your local Eircom team you could send out one of the kids as a mascot.(It has to be a jersey of the opposition, no point wearing a shels jersey if we a playing Kildare)
