Hi I am a newcomer to this site just wondering where is the best place to find historical statistics on the Eircom League?

There's a book just out. Check the magazine World Soccer it is advertised in the April 2005 edition, called Football in the Republic of Ireland, a Statistical Record 1921-2004; it is available by mail order from the following address Soccer Books Ltd., 72 St.Peter's Avenue, Cleethorpes, DN35 8HU , England . It costs £16.50 plus postage which is around £6.00.
The book has all the League results from 1921 to the end of the 2004 season.

There is supposed to be an Eircom League Annual coming out soon which will be available in all shops over here and possibly by mail from the F.A.I. ,80 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 , Ireland. Send a letter addressed to Michael Hayes and he can give you the price and postage.

As in a thread above check out all the stuff I sent to the RSSSF website a few years back - pretty much everything is there....

Irish attendances as collated here - most of these are (reasonable) guesstimates though, not official. The older ones in particular are slightly unreliable - 2004 is fairly good. 2005 will be going up in the next couple of weeks; the info is also collected here in the eL General forum.
