5th March 2005 - Kelly survives desperate plot
Former International Gary Kelly is at the centre of allegations that a Leeds United Executive planned to nobble him in order to get him off the club's crippling payroll. Kelly who earns €24,000 a week was targeted by a rogue employee who was later sacked. The executive, who claimed that a senior club director was involved in the plot, planned to hire hitmen to break Kelly's legs, end his career prematurley, and claim a large insurance payout.
