Ok so at the end of the season what level of performance from your team will you use to judge it a successful domestic season.
For me it will be Rovers finishing in the top three but within 9 points of the winners if they do not win it themselves, an FAI cup semi final spot and for one of our underage teams to be there or thereabouts in their league come the business end.
For us there is a rangeof success. We don't necessarily need to retain trophies but we need to be competitive. If we don't win the league then we need European progress and maybe a cup.
Be competitive on the field and financially stable.
Get movement on ground move.
Sort out our previously decent but recently deplorable PR.
For me if Rovers challenge and finish top 3 but still be in with a shout with 1 series of games to go.
Also I'd love to see Sean boyd , Trevor Clarke, Aaron Bolger play a lot of games.
Not getting relegated.
Win the First Division going undefeated. Semi finals minimum in all cups.
Ah no, given the competition this year I reckon being in the promotion shake up for the season and getting into the play offs would be a reasonably successful year. Hopefully some good football along the way and a bit of a cup run too.
Retaining the league for the first time ever.
As Osarusan said, not getting relegated would be a successful season for us at this stage.
Being in the promotion shake up with a big improvement in the crowds coming through the gate. To bring a few more from our underage teams through to the senior panel too. Finally to gain the respect of the town back again.

Minimum requirement is European Qualification and to be in contention in the title race. To play three rounds of European competition.
With the squad we've assembled I think a serious challenge for promotion is a must, being way off the promotion places would be a serious negative for the whole club and any developments we hope to make on and off the field.....
