Now that that Unpleasantness is over.
So, safe for another year.
What’s people’s opinions on who to keep?
Signed:
Brendan Clarke
Freddy Hall
Tony Whitehead
So they’re fair enough.
Defence
Keep:
Dave O’Connor – He is the worst left back in the world. He is also a perfectly serviceable, mediocre left sided centre half. Talk is McDonald is going three at the back. If so he has done enough for another go in the squad imo.
Shane Tracy – I’d have him around forever. Realistically I’d say he’s gone.
Dean Clarke – Not a right back. It looks like shamrock broke him really badly. Would keep for another year. Not sure why.
Cut:
Barry Cotter – Really, really, terrible at being a right back. Would argue that you could maybe make some class of a winger out of him but if the rumors about his behavior from my ever reliable sauces are true he should be dropkicked out the door.
Killian Brouder – What’s the point??
Midfield
Keep:
Bastien Hery – I don’t care if he has only turned it on in contract season, I want him kept. Untouchable on his day in this league.
Lee Jay – Puts in the effort of seven men. Keep.
Duggie – Found his mojo again in recent weeks. Assuming he still wants to play football I’d keep.
Cut:
Stephen Kenny – Not good enough. Doesn’t try. Destined to be a big wheel at Cobh Ramblers.
Henry Cameron – Looks broken beyond repair.
Attack:
Keep:
Dozie – Keep. Unless offered money. In which case sell sell sell.
Tosi – If he can be convinced to stay, he should be kept. Class act.
John O’Flynn – Ten year deal imho.
Peter Berki – Apparently he drives the lads around in the minibus and is popular in Bruff. If cheap, should be kept as a kind of driver/mascot.
So, in summary, we need about a dozen players heading into next year. (I can’t remember the last year when this wasn’t the case)
No terrible harps or drogs to bail us out next year. If we go cheap we WILL get a repeat of relegationgate.
Speaking of finances, our beloved chairman has gone off to fight government oppresion. Anyone know the status of the moneyman??
Discuss the issues. :good:
