This is what it says on Aertel
EIRCOM LEAGUE CLUBS WIN LICENCES
Ten of the 22 eircom League clubs have
confirmed that they have recieved
Premier Licences for the 2005 season.
Shelbourne, Cork City, Drogheda United,
Bray, Derry City, St Patrick's, Galway,
Athlone Town, Waterford Utd and Finn
Harps have all confirmed that they have
been successful in their bids.
The licences were granted on appeal
following the initial rejection of all
22 Clubs' applications in January.
However, there are rumours circulating
that several clubs, including one
Premier League outfit are struggling to
win their appeals.
Limerick FC have recieved their First Division License for the upcoming season according to aertel the clubs who got licenses are as follows:
Clubs Awarded Premier Licences: Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, Cork City, Derry City, Drogheda United, Finn Harps, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, St Patrick's Athletic, UCD and Waterford United.
Clubs Awarded First Division Licences: Athlone Town, Cobh Ramblers, Galway United, Kilkenny City, Limerick, Monaghan United and Sligo Rovers.
Congrats where it's due. This is a big step up from last season. Longford could be in trouble though. Ditto for Dublin City.
Nice one on the license to everyone concerned. One step closer to pulling back the three steps lost with the Can't Pass signing :D

The fact is that based on last seasons performances Can't Pass O'Brien was not a good signing. He has everything to prove. I hope he proves us all wrong and scores 25 or 30 goals but I'll be very surprised if he does (albeit pleasantly surprised). His work ethic and teamwork were both shocking last year, I've never questioned his ability at all, just his motivation.
Great news about the licence. It calls for a bit of optimism.
I hope you're right about CP willie john. The God and kissing ass bit might be a bit much. The goals will do. :)
Congratulations to the new consortium and they deserve it. It is nice to see that the club is being managed incredibly well in comparison to the previous management and it is such great news to learn here in Barcelona.
