See Lawlor tried to sign Liam George from Luton Town, but he thought he was above us.
This, and he cant get a club or a game in the english 3rd division.

If that's the case, sorbo, Lawlor was fairly gracious.....Quote:
Lawlor told inthenet.ie:
I am always interested in quality players and Liam fits the bill to perfection. He was interested alright, but felt he wouldn’t do himself justice because of his injury. Fair play to the lad, I admire his honesty, but it doesn’t help us, I’m afraid.
you got to hand it to Lawlor, he is showing some ambition
Took it up wrong then, i thought that he was saying that he couldn't do himself justice playing for a club like Longford.
Even at that, wasn't he on trial " Sheff Utd only last week?
In all fairness.... He'd have to be an improvement...
He would have been a fantastic signing, even on loan. Wanst he Luton's leading scorer last year or the year before?
sounds like he would have been a beneficial signing alright but its not like we cant keep looking around in teams like Luton. DIv 3 is pretty big after all.
Seemingly Lawlor has added Mark Byrne (Drogs) and Brian McKenna (Dundalk) to the squad... No details on the star....
Dublin City are interested in taking Stevie Gavin on loan... I don't think thats possible... Lawlor will want everyone and Gavin is an essential squad member...
