Bray target moves to DC on loan

First Division title favourites Dublin City have added to their defensive options with the acquisition of left back Brian Kelly from Premier Division big guns Drogheda United.

Former Middlesbrough trainee Kelly has found himself squeezed out of the first-team picture at United Park since the arrival of Jermaine Sandvliet from the Netherlands last season and Simon Webb from Bohemians over the winter.

The versatile player, who turns 24 this weekend, has operated on the left side of midfield and in the centre of defence in the past, although left back is regarded as his best position.

Kelly, who will spend the season on loan at City, could make his debut for the club in the friendly meeting with St Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park this coming Friday night (February 4th).
