cheating ref in germany

just caught the end of this on the radio.

a ref took an incentive :rolleyes: to help a team.
apparently hamburg were playing a minnow team and were winning 2-0 when the ref sent off the hamburg centre forward and gave 2 dodgy penos to the minnows who went on to win 3-2 .

he has apparantly (the ref) come clean and is co operating with the authorities.

It goes on all the time in the GAA so why should we be surprised that it has happened in a professional sport like football.

Ahh, HSV being cheated out of the cup, couldn't happen to a nicer bunch :)

4-2 actually. Write-up in the ST yesterday. Got caught up in some betting ring. Apparantley, now that he's caught he's gonna 'blow the whistle' :rolleyes: on several other refs and players involved.
