The Bohemian Football Club is delighted to announce that Kevin Hunt has signed a new 3-year contract. We look forward to Kevin playing a pivotal role in the Club’s future.
Without a doubt Kevin has won a special place in the hearts of all Bohemian fans. From his début at Turner’s Cross on 6 December 1998 when the side, then in the midst of a battle against relegation, fought to earn a much needed point, to last Sunday’s 3-0 triumph at the same venue, his commitment and ability have shone through.
That in May 2001 Kevin should captain Bohemians to a first League title since 1978, and our first League and FAI Cup double in 73 years, was entirely appropriate, for no single player did more to make such triumphs possible.
Since joining Bohemians, Kevin Hunt has been the consummate professional on and off the field and a delight to know and work with.
With Kevin firmly on board, we can say with confidence that the future is Red and Black.
