New Year to bring many changes at Buckley Park


THE NEW Year will mean new faces at Kilkenny City Football Club.
Following the resignation of team manager Ger Bickerstaffe after the final game of the 2004 season, City are poised to appoint a new boss.
The club has not advertised the position but a number of high profile players and former players have shown an interest in the post.
Despite press speculation City have not made any appointment. However talks are expected to be held before the weekend.
The new boss will have the task of rebuilding the Buckley Park squad as many members of last year’s squad have moved on to other clubs.
South East rivals
Local players Níall Andrews and his brother Mark have signed for South East rivals Waterford United.
