A name mentioned more than once on this very forum last season as a replacement for the irreplaceable Don O Riordan was Pat Scully. I for one would have been more than happy to have Pat as our manager. Imagine his CV now that would certainly be worth reading and no need for little porkies there. Of course if we were interested in boosting the deal by getting a big club involved in a partnership/accademy program then I'm sure Pat with all his connections would have been only too willing to strike up a relationship with one of the premier division greats - Shelbourne.
No it was never to be, our decision was made for us and it was left for the cats to come in and stal the cream from under our snouts.
Well done Kilkenny City, by appointing Pat Scully as your new manager you have proven that you have the vision required to be successful.
